Kayaking and sailing can be arranged -- a great way for novice and expert boaters alike to enjoy our wonderful coastline and islands.

The Town of Mahone Bay is only 6 km down the road with its attractive main street lined with shops, art galleries, markets, rug-hooking studios, museums, restaurants, pub, heritage buildings and friendly people.
And there are our local festivals!In July, tour historic houses during the Treasures of Mahone Bay weekend, early fall brings the Scarecrow Festival, and the Father Christmas Festival is a pre-Christmas treat.

In the neighbouring UNESCO heritage town of Lunenburg, there are annual special events, such as the Folk Harbour Festival and the Nova Scotia Folk Art Festival
Famous Oak Island, site of the The Curse of Oak Island TV program, is a short distance from Bayview Pines and you can take a walking tour during the summer months.
The TV show Haven was filmed in the nearby town of Chester.
Only a short drive or bike ride away are beaches -- perfect for swimming and surfing, hiking and bird watching -- still more galleries of painters, potters and carvers; antique shops; weavers and the adjacent sea coast and sailing communities of Lunenburg and Chester.
Within an hour's drive, there's more to explore in Southwest Nova Scotia, there's historic Halifax, the glorious Annapolis Valley and all the adventures they provide.
